To achieve this level 1 accreditation Civica must undertake and annual PCI assessment. This process focuses solely on the security of Cardholder data, whether Civica UK Ltd has effectively implemented information security policies and processes, and if there are adequate security measures to comply with the requirements to protect Cardholder data. Additionally, the assessment reviews whether Civica UK Ltd is employing payment industry best-practices and provides recommendations for remediation of any non-compliant policies, processes, procedures, system configurations or vulnerabilities.

Civica UK ltd also achieved PA DSS compliance in May 2009 and was one of the first software suppliers to gain this accreditation
