The Paris Integrated Children’s System (ICS) from Civica has been designed by our ICS specialist consultants in close liaison with customers to provide an easy to use solution that supports customer’s business processes.
At the heart of the Paris ICS functionality is the unique ‘User Defined Forms’ technology (UDF). This allows customers to tailor the ICS forms to suit their own local needs, including developing their own forms if required. This inherent flexibility within the Paris ICS system really does allow practitioners to own and shape how their system supports local working practices yet at the same time continuing to satisfy the DCSF requirements. The customer ICS forum meets regularly to discuss any issues they are experiencing or enhancements that they have identified within ICS. Local working practice from all of Civica’s customers feeds through the ICS forum and informs the design of any future development changes.
Child Protection The Paris child protection functionality includes an independent formal enquiry facility and also a dedicated child protection process module. Both of these specialist modules are seamlessly integrated into the Paris ICS system which ensures that all of the child protection episodes are recorded in a structured manner and that they can also be easily viewed by the social care practitioner in one area of the system. The underlying design aim of the Paris child protection functionality ensures that the child’s record is monitored by the system automatically to ensure that the required notifications and alerts are generated to the appropriate users whenever risks are identified. Those notified include involved practitioners and team managers and the designated custodian responsible for child protection.
Benefits include:
- Seamlessly integrated into Paris ICS
- All of the child protection episodes are recorded in a structured manner
- All can be easily viewed and monitored in one place
Looked After Children - 903 Return
In addition to the ICS functionality, Paris has a dedicated placement module which maintains all of the legal and placement changes for the child. This module has built in government validation that is active during input which ensures that the 903 statutory return can be produced with ease at the end of the reporting year. In addition when a child is placed, the system cross checks the child’s details against the selected Foster Carer’s terms of registration and warns the user should a conflict occur. Once the placement is approved the Paris financial management system automatically generates the required child and placement related payments to the Foster Carer. The Paris Looked-After Children Placement module maintains all of the legal and placement changes for the child.
