Acquisition of records management specialist supports increasing emphasis on business process services
Civica has announced that Civica UK Ltd, the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, has acquired Cave Tab Limited (“Cave Tab”).
Based in Northampton, Cave Tab specialises in document and records management services which help customers to reduce costs and comply with legislation. Dating back to 1923, the company is a leading supplier to customers across the public sector, in local and central government, social housing, health care, enforcement and defence, together with a large commercial base. It provides a comprehensive range of services for both digital and physical records management from outsourced document and post room services to file tracking solutions and archiving.
Civica and Cave Tab have a successful record of working together including at the London boroughs of Barnet and Tower Hamlets where Cave Tab delivers a highly efficient Electronic Post Room (EPR) service integrated with Civica’s market-leading workflow and document management software. With the potential to save as much as 40% of inbound processing costs, the EPR service is increasingly of interest to organisations looking to manage a high volume of customer interaction while spending less.
